Couch
5
Last
year I lost about 2 years worth of modeling work
I'd done, furniture, store interiors, etc.. alot
of it was some of the best work I'd done. I hadn't
backed my work up in years, so it was my fault.
Anyway,
I built this couch, sort of as an homage to one
of my favorite models from that period.. a couch
that was on casters, along with an armchair and
loveseat, end tables, and the coffee table.
This
is the first model I've built in a long time.
It's sort of my farewell to Ray Dream as my work
is going to look pretty crude for a while as I
learn how to use Blender.

Samurai
In
the process of planning to build this section
of the site, I spent alot of time searching backup
CD's for models and renders I had done.
None
of the Mr. Bun renders I found really satisfied
me, so I pulled out the most recent backup I had
of my Mr. Bun model, and reengineered a bit of
the IK, and his clothes to put him in something
with a bit of a far east flair, and then built
a couple of samurai swords for him.
It
turned out pretty good, nice and clean.

Green
Apple
This
scene is titled after the color of the chair.
I built this originally with the intention for
it to be Mr. Bun's computer at his home.
It
started me on a round of furniture building that
lasted almost a year.. And unfortunately is one
of the few renders left from that period.
The
model was lost also when my OS crashed.

Snow
Line
Having used Google Image Search, and having visited
Europe a few times I decided to build some subway/shortline
passenger trains.
These
were the result. They were very simple models,
with most of the look being handled by the texture
maps.
For
some reason I put them on a snowy plain, and used
several flat planes with transparency maps that
I painted to do the snow effects.
My
wife and I used this on a digital Christmas card
one year.

Combat
Dalek
I've
always been a big fan of Dr. Who, and as such
this was one of my first complex Ray Dream models,
using IK to animate the head, eye stalk, arm,
gunstick, gatling gun, and steering unit in the
front.
The
idea was to come up with a more versatile Dalek
design, something to take Daleks into the modern
age.

Dr.
Bun
A
rendering of the original Dr. Bun in his timelord
outfit.
Check
out the Mr. Bun comic strip archives, Episodes
4 - 6 to see what I did with this, and the other
Dr. Who themed models I had been working on.

In
Custody
This
scene shows off the Combat Dalek, along with my
TARDIS model that I built after going over tons
of websites on the net to find a prebuilt model
(none suited my needs) or plans for a Police Box.
I'm well pleased with this model, it has the sign
and all of the details I could fit in at this
early stage of my modeling skills... as well as
a door that swings open using IK.
The
Daleks have captured the TARDIS and are transporting
it on a floating platform which is outfitted with
Dalek sensor balls.

Mr.
Bun in a Tux
One
of the many outfits Mr. Bun ended up with. I also
built him a leather jacket, sunglasses, and astronauts
EVA suit, etc...
It
got to the point I felt like I was playing with
dolls!

TARDIS
Interior
An
early rendering of my version of the TARDIS interior
which shows a doorway leading off to another part
of the TARDIS, and my design for the TARDIS control
console. |
TARDIS
Interior
Another
early rendering of my version of the TARDIS interior
from a slightly different angle to show the entrance
doors/hatrack, and my design for the TARDIS control
console. |
Stinger
Early
renderings of Mr. Bun's Stinger Motorcycle in a
Green Color. |
Stinger
The
Stinger in Red, with Mr. Bun Saddled up in Jeans,
Leather Jacket, Shades, and a big brass belt buckle. |
Game
Map
A
game-style map, drawn pixel by pixel just for fun
to remind me of the days when I used to draw with
my Koala Pad on my c64 or with Deluxepaint on my
old Amiga. |
