New Mirrors and Bar
Ends on the Blast
I installed new Mirrors and bar ends
for my Buell Blast. Since the day I
got it my friend Henry has been bugging
me about the "mickey mouse ear
mirrors" on the bike. It's been
two years, and I finally decided to
break down and buy some new mirrors.
I looked at the Joker Machine mirrors,
but I wasn't going to pay $200.00 for
mirrors on this bike. I ended up finding
some at JC Whitney that I liked the
shape of. My wife cautioned me about
the bar ends (bullet shaped) but I got
them anyway. Turns out combined with
the grips they look a bit phallic. Installation
was straightforward, and I checked the
play on the throttle and left a gap
on the end with the bar end so that
the throttle turns without rubbing or
any issues.
The
parts I ordered were:
We
also took a ride on Saturday, me on
my VN750 and the wife on her XB9 and
a guy tried to run me off the road when
I tried to pass him when he kept trying
to stop short to mess with me, and then
tried to run me down when I got ahead
of him. I posted an account over at
VN750.com, and you can check it out
if interested:
